Lansmont Product Update-Drop Testers-clear

Live Product Update:

Drop Testers

  • When: 7 August 2024, 11AM  EDT | 4PM GMT
  • Cost: Free (Registration required)
  • Where: Virtual (GoToWebinar)

Drop testers are used to expose packages and packaged products to a range of impact energies.

The higher you drop something, the greater the impact energy. Free-fall Drop Test Systems take advantage of acceleration due to gravity, which is constant and repeatable.

Dropping items multiple times from the same height will result in the same impact velocities - every time. In the testing environment, repeatability is desired as it eliminates, or minimizes variability in the subsequent test results.

Lansmont Drop Test Systems are used to facilitate the design and evaluation of effective, optimized protective transport packaging.

What we’ll discuss:

  • Relevant test standards
  • Description of the key system hardware and components
  • Key performance criteria (controlled drop and impact orientation)
  • Models PDT 80, 80M, 300, and 700
  • Handheld controller and user-interface functionality
  • Supplemental data acquisition - Test Partner
  • Actual live system overview and operational demonstration

 Who should attend?

  • Product and packaging design engineers
  • Supply Chain and Logistics personnel
  • Damage Prevention personnel
