Webinar:

Sinusoidal vibration testing applications

  • When: 19 November 2024, 11AM  EDT | 4PM BST
  • Cost: Free (Registration required)
  • Where: Virtual (GoToWebinar)

Laboratory vibration test systems are typically used by product and package designers for two main applications – sinusoidal and random input testing. Inputting sinusoidal vibration energy over a predefined frequency range in effort is used to identify critical product and/or component resonances.

Resonant frequencies are where the test item or component likes to shake with more amplitude than the table itself is using to drive the system – response greater than input. This webinar will discuss sinusoidal vibration testing, show how test profiles are defined, as well as how resonant frequency is determined.

Webinar discussion points:

  •   Sine vibration – what is it used for?
  • Resonant search and dwell testing
  • Packaged-product repetitive shock (also referred to as bounce) testing
  • Relevant sinusoidal vibration test standards
  • How sinusoidal testing relates to random vibration testing
  • Description of vibration test systems
  • Key system performance criteria – size, power, actuator stroke

 Who should attend?

  • Product and packaging design engineers
  • Supply chain and logistics personnel
  • Damage prevention personnel
